The Error Killer Review

You don't need a new computer and you don't need a high-priced computer
technician that will charge you hundreds of dollars. You just need

ErrorKiller
!

The interface might look a bit cluttered, but it's quite straightforward. It has 3 main buttons: Scan Now, Backup Controls and Advanced Options. In addition it has not 1, not 2, but 3 different settings buttons. One is called Preferences, one is called Options and the third is called Settings. However only Options are actually Options. It also has a backup button.
Here is where you find Scan Now, Backup Controls and Advanced Options. Scan Now simply scans the registry for errors. Backup Controls simply restores any backup you might have, but it doesn't do backups. Advanced options of Error killer does the same as the Settings button on top. Confused yet?
It has two options: Restore from Latest Backup and Perform Scan on Application Load. That's it, no automatic updating or scheduling options.
It is the same as Backup Controls on the Preferences screen.

Settings or Advanced Options has 5 new features:

Browser HelperObject Manager, Startup Program Manager, Add/Remove Program Manager, Full Registry Backup Utility. Browser HelperObject Manager allows you to enable or disable tools that starts up with your Internet Explorer browser. Mine only had 5 things, but the BHO Manager in Registry Easy and Registry Genius did a lot more. Startup Program Manager allows you to select what programs start up with Windows. Add/Remove Program Manager is a super fast replacement for Windows Add/Remove Programs. This one actually works unlike Registry Easy and Registry Genius. Full Registry Backup Utility simply takes backup of the registry and restores it, which is what the Backup button does.

Summary:

Apart from being the most confusing program ever it does have some good working features like the Add/Remove Programs utility, but it lacks basic options, there are misspellings all over the program that makes it look less professional. The registry scan results are average. It found 998 errors and took only 7 and a half minute to do it. That makes it the fastest registry cleaner on the market. However, overall it is the very good registry cleaner out there.
